It's an action RPG, you have light combos with X and heavy combos with Y and B, one special attack with RB and one ult with RT, you can also dodge with LT
Each character gets a unique moveset and you can switch between 4 characters
As for how the game works, you have a free roam mode in an open world where you can do side quests and a linear mode which is more like dungeon crawling where you progress the main story

Hermit projectile spam is the only thing I found that deals with the damage sponges quickly sadly.
The leveling is fake. You can be level 65 and fight a level 30 damage sponge boss that gives enough XP for another level, or you can fight a level 90 boss that drops in seconds and barely gives anything.

It's not because what's in the game that's the problem. It's simply a problem of the issue that all anime games must face: "why should I buy the game when I already watched the anime and know the story???". Eden's Zero looks fun for sure BUT everyone who cares who already know any of the story's big twists, thus, making the entire main storyline. There is also the issue of anime game only overing some of the manga, a character who joins the crew layer won't be playable unless a sequel or dlc is Released. For example, Anyone who wanted Playable Kleene must accept disappointment. Eden's Zero was simply fucked from the beginning because of fault of simply being an anime game.

Well I'm in the post game and completed the Fairy Tail quest. There doesn't seem to be any clear direction left. I still don't have Jinn, there's an achievement to "upgrade all the facilities on Edens Zero" I wasn't aware you could even do that, I'm not sure how to unlock the harder difficulties for the massage and punishment games, there are still a ton of NPCs that are telling me no to asking to be their friend.
