I simply play the fighting games I want to play and not what everyone hypes up and lies that they WILL play.
These days you can tell how a game is going to be from gameplay videos before release. I turned away from Strive, MBTL, BBTAG, and GBVSR after watching pre-release clips and playing some demos and figured that they weren't for me.
That being said, games can change themselves through patches like how DBFZ turned into a different game post season 3 but many can't truly divert away from ingrained universal mechanics that the whole game is built around.
That being said, I don't care for HxH at all so I simply had no interest to begin with.

Tokon is going to be huge. No artists making every character non-binary fags like in SF6. No geriatric, toxic pro influencers obssessed with entries from psx or ps2 era like Tekken. I can't wait.
