If you ever played Modnation Racers on PS3 this is like that but infinitely better in every way. It's Mario Kart, Crash Racing, and Modnation Racers combined. No microtransactions, 6 player offline splitscreen, online multiplayer, mod support, track builder, etc. Been waiting for this for a long time, by far the best kart racer ever released on PC. It's in early access on steam today.

Nah those ugly designs won't cut it
I hope the customization is up to par. That was literally the only redeeming aspect of Modnation
You could have the best gameplay on the planet but if I don't care about the characters your kart game is a failed slop. Mario Kart World sucks especially since they removed intermissions but I know those characters. I can still play SRB2K or Kartrider Drift for my fill as well

I'd play but I don't have the money to spend right now. I recall playing earlier builds and it's definitely got stuff to it. Might just be a bit to fast for me, but interested to see where things go.
