Mecha popularity has been having a resurgence as of late. ZoE really came out at the ass end of the era where mecha stuff was really popular which was mostly in the 80s and 90's. By the 2000's mostly people were kind of burned out on it but now it's getting popular again.

Meh, all they would do is make a REMASTER and only of the first game at most.
I don't think they could remaster ZoE2 more than they already did because unlike MGS3, ZoE2 use cell-shading graphics, they can't just make everything more realistic.
There was also very stylistic choices in the colors and aesthetic that they definitely can't do without proper developers (not gacha regurgitator).
