Real pinocchio is basically the same story but with a lot of differences. Disney sugared it for children.

Geppetto is eaten by a shark, as i said, but in the book pinocchio has to save geppetto and take care of him for a long time, working for him and basically act like a real human, before his transformation. Also pinocchio around the first act gets arrested and beaten up by the carabinieri (italian police force),
In the first draft pinocchio in the end was killed by the cat and the fox, which hang him to a tree for all the shit he has done, but the author changed the morale and give him an happy ending.

You can kill a plethora of endangered species in Far Cry games, the only real reason a whale hunting game would be met negatively would be because normalfags get their panties in a bunch when they see charismatic animals getting hurt. It was a travesty in regards to the other aspects of the novel, but the only good interpretation of Ahab outside of it I've ever seen (though I suspect this was accidental) was in gachashit. Almost no one other Moby Dick related work captures Ahab's rebellion against the divine and proof that humans are undeserving of Eden, as they do not want to go back in the first place.
