Anything american is good only for get a fire started.

Not only is there a Moby Dick game it's a direct narrative sequel to the novel. It's a really cool management game, the "card/deck" is only for combat.

I do wish we had a good "boat" game with good fishing though. Sailwind is really cool but it's just making deliveries, the fishing sucks as it is right now.

Real pinocchio is basically the same story but with a lot of differences. Disney sugared it for children.
Stromboli (which was a silly name because stromboli it's a volcano in italy but in the real book he's called "the fire eater" basically) is more human and gentle, disney made him an antagonist for... reasons i guess. He's grumpy but he has good heart and teaches pinocchio some important lessons.
Cat and fox are real talking animals in the book, not furries.
In the book pinocchio kills the cricket with an hammer splatting him on a wall, because he was tired of his bullshit and the cricket returns later as a ghost and haunts him for a bit.
Geppetto is eaten by a shark, as i said, but in the book pinocchio has to save geppetto and take care of him for a long time, working for him and basically act like a real human, before his transformation. Also pinocchio around the first act gets arrested and beaten up by the carabinieri (italian police force),
In the first draft pinocchio in the end was killed by the cat and the fox, which hang him to a tree for all the shit he has done, but the author changed the morale and give him an happy ending.
I am italian btw.

Also pinocchio burns half of him at some point because he is a dumbass and he basically learn trough pain that is not invincible. Ah right also the fairy is a little girl not an adult woman and she doesn't act like a genie but she is an independent character that judges pinocchio's action. I don't remember exactly this part but it was implied she was kinda of a dead girl because they see her name on a tombstone but that's now something that eludes me.

You can kill a plethora of endangered species in Far Cry games, the only real reason a whale hunting game would be met negatively would be because normalfags get their panties in a bunch when they see charismatic animals getting hurt. (Horses, dogs, etc.) But in any case Assassins Creed got away with including whaling as a minigame so who knows, it might be more possible than we think.

>By the merest chance the ship itself at last rescued him; but from that hour the little negro went about the deck an idiot; such, at least, they said he was. The sea had leeringly kept his finite body up, but drowned the infinite of his soul. Not drowned entirely, though. Rather carried down alive to wondrous depths, where strange shapes of the unwarped primal world glided to and fro before his passive eyes; and the miser-merman, Wisdom, revealed his hoarded heaps; and among the joyous, heartless, ever-juvenile eternities, Pip saw the multitudinous, God-omnipresent, coral insects, that out of the firmament of waters heaved the colossal orbs. He saw Godโ€™s foot upon the treadle of the loom, and spoke it; and therefore his shipmates called him mad. So manโ€™s insanity is heavenโ€™s sense; and wandering from all mortal reason, man comes at last to that celestial thought, which, to reason, is absurd and frantic; and weal or woe, feels then uncompromised, indifferent as his God.

It was a travesty in regards to the other aspects of the novel, but the only good interpretation of Ahab outside of it I've ever seen (though I suspect this was accidental) was in gachashit. Almost no one other Moby Dick related work captures Ahab's rebellion against the divine and proof that humans are undeserving of Eden, as they do not want to go back in the first place.

moby dick is the greatest novel ever written but its not really adaptable. and even if you did turn its essence into a videogame most gamers would hate it because most gamers are dopamine addict slop consumers who hate true art.

It was cool until they started showing the black cabbie everywhere and had a whole rant about being a former slave. But glad to see burger-based nigger fatigue has been a thing for nearly two hundred years now.

It gets sillier when you realize the ancestors of all land dwelling animals came from the ocean. Cetaceans all returned BACK to the ocean millions of years later.

there is an optional giant whale boss in DS2, just beat it yesterday - only 5.5% of players have beaten it so far so i guess not many people know about it. one of the characters is also heavily based on the story of Moby Dick. i also had no idea Pequod in MGSV was a reference to the book

He was always an asshole. Animal fucked him up and he just couldn't let it go. Started projecting all sorts of insane shit onto the whale. Turned it into the personification of all his personal demons. Nursed that crazy illogical hate until it consumed him and drove him totally off the deep end, as it were. Then it was a matter of abusing his position to take others down with him, as questioning him makes you the enemy too

Anon, dying of old age is when the wear and tear on your body is at a point where illnesses that you would have recovered from in your youth ends up killing you. Most common "died of old age" illness is stuff like pneumonia.
Death from cancer has fuck all to do with age as you can be a baby and get fucked by it.

Old whales are either physically weakened or addled by their age and end up either not having the strength to surface or not realizing the amount of time required to get back up for a breath and end up drowning as a result.

Yeah but realistically you couldn't get a big budget game with nice graphics that has content as sparse as SotC nowadays, it'd be filled with open world map bloat that completely ruins the mood.
