2006 when he started raping his classic games turning Mario into a generic looking mobile game. It's gross and lazy slop. Ever since Nintendo game designs have been sterile and standardized into pixar slop. New DK is the pinnacle of this. He's been trying his very best to erase any Japanese influence in Nintendo games and make them look more westernized to pander. This I do agree with, but fuck him for ruining Paper Mario. There was something really kino about a Mario game that had a storybook meets FF game vibe, and we're probably never going to get that ever again. I'm glad his primary focus is theme parks and movies now.
