EPIC doesn't understand that there is no competition with Valve/Steam. Valve competes with piracy. EPIC isn't even in the equation. There's either get the game pirated, or get it on Steam with all its features. If you compete with Steam, you don't do it by the games. You do it by the user experience.

If tomorrow every single game going forward went to EPIC, I'd just return to piracy or continue playing my current collection since nothing good gets released anyway.

Probably, but completely irrelevant. The point is business, and which platform provides the most for the developer. EPIC is touted as the platform for developers, but it lacks the most important thing a business needs: Customers. And you don't get customers without the proper customer-focused mindset first and foremost.

I get people hating Steam. I get people hating DRM. What I don't get is anyone who would prefer EGS or Steam. That one makes zero sense. Free games? Yeah, sure. If you're not buying games, it's definitely the place to be. That's why I'm 100% sure that 99% of the people in favor of EGS on this board are people who do not buy games, or are shills. No other explanation.

The features and convenience Steam brings beats EGS in every single department, it's not even an argument. GoG vs Steam arguments I get; it's a matter of disagreeing on how games should be owned/distributed. But EGS is a preference that stims only from an irrational hate of Valve. Like an Epic employee.
