Another good tip OP, use this
/woke(?!( up|n))/i;op:only
it'll hide any OP with the word "woke" in it, but not the normal usage "woke up". They're always garbage threads so it's a good filter.

you could also write your filter like this:
/trann(y|ie)/i
and it'll filter both the singular and the plural
