It's essentially a ghost town, no matter what game you go on. It has been for over 10 years.

I miss the old days where everyone had a microphone, and they said things that /pol/ would later parrot (without any risk of being banned).

Most people are sitting in their discords. With that said it's not a ghost town at all. There's always people talking in CS lobbies or TF lobbies.

That is the bullshit excuse as to why EA didn't bother putting in actual voice chat in Battlefield 2042 for a long time (you know, in a game series where communication with your squad, most likely complete strangers, is critical, unless if you just want to just do whatever you feel like doing instead without any regards to your squadmates other than being spawn points), and a similar bullshit reason why Bungie for Destiny 1 refused to have voice chat at all (because they expected everyone to already be in a party, even in competitive multiplayer games).
