I want an MMO souls game. Like Dark Souls, but I can meet random people at Firelink Shrine, or like Elden Ring, but there are other players in Roundtable Hold, and maybe meet random players in the world, who can decidedly be friend or foe. It wouldn't even be so different from the current coop/invasion mechanics, just a seamless version of it.

i still think the "spellbound" leaks were pretty convincing. a combat system that focuses on magic, set in a small open world centered around a hogwarts via raya lucaria wizard school + surrounding wildlands. sounds like a great concept for fromsoft that would reconcile the open design of elden ring with their earlier level design language and lean in to the kind of worldbuilding they do well.
improved implementation of magic abilities feels like one of their biggest growth opportunities (i say this as somebody who's played every soulsborne game and have basically never cast a single spell)
