In Mother 1 it was sweet and alright and i liked the twist of how it was the great grandmother who sang that lullaby to the Alien.

In Earthbound it was the most cancerous shit i've everp layed, ever, having to constantly revive that BITCH Paula just so she can pray repeatedly, holy fucking boring. The Giygas fight is still one of the weirdest and most unsettling boss encounters in any game. It's not even a fight in the traditional sense, it’s just this abstract descent into madness. The whole idea that he “cannot be grasped” and the baby cries in the background? Pure nightmare fuel.
