Remember how MGS1–3 had good, ahead-of-its-time writing? And how after that Fukushima guy left, Kojima was on his own, and the series turned into a bloated, incoherent mess? Crazy how people still pretend it’s the same, still talk like nothing changed, but if you’re being honest with yourself you can feel it. Something important was missing, and it just hasn’t been the same since.

Why do people think MGS invented drones or AI when we have books about that ever since the early 1900s? MGS was not ahead of its time it just chose cool things to draw inspiration from.
