Why the game would be better with a structure like Borderlands
1. No servers dependency means you get to keep the game and play it offline even if it dies
2. Open world with lots of looting keeps the game fresh
3. You would get the same build variety
4. You would get a better story with more character interactions and cutscenes
5. You would get unique non repetitive missions without the mindless grinding that drove most players away from the game
6. The devs could sell tons of DLC outfits
7. You would get 4 player coop so the multiplayer experience you know and love would be there
