Great game, but would have to cut down playing other vidya to get good and also drag in 1-4 friends in order to get more wins/fun.

It was fucked from the start. A casual mode with simplified mechanics and/or faster rounds is the only way it can be salvaged without tearing it all to the ground.

This game really highlights the immense incompetence and laziness of Valve. It's been a year and a half already since it got leaked and it's still in a piss poor state of alpha, with only 3 remodeled characters, 1 map change and an item visual update. It looks to be 2 years away from completion at the rate they are going, ever since they scurried over to their sekrit club playtest-within-a-playtest with more new characters (In various stages of development, most incomplete).

There doesn't seem to be a unifying vision or concerted push to get this game to market in even a beta state, it just seems like it's IceFrog's personal playground to mess around with meaningless micro-adjustments to gameplay balance, like as if it was a decade old game like Dota 2 that's gone through several eras of metas already. He either needs to be replaced or curtailed a bit because his autism is hurting the game.

This the game suffers all the problems of a moba but now theres a even BIGGER skill check in the game and thats AIMING. It'll have a fanbase but it certainly WONT be as big as Counter Strikes or Dotas.

Icefrog flew too close to the sun and if he doesnt dumb the game down enough to the point where matches are quick and easy the shelflife of the game will be even worse then older brothers.

Making a convoluted and boring game. Though I like(d) DOTA2 (gave up after 5000+ hours) so I'm not sure why I hate deadlock so much.

Riot has more chinks slaving away only for Twitter art posts than Valve has developers period, it's really fucking annoying. I even want to give them money but there's nothing to spend it on, they axed battlepasses and are extremely overdue for an event after the dozen extensions of Crownfall.

I personally blame denying and the overreliance on countering around active items. Nobody wants to do this shit every match in a moba, much less a shooter.
