>>715777758 (OP)If I had to defend even one poor reputation game, I'd pick Once Human, the infamous f2p "survival crafting game" from the greedy NetEase slaves is a pretty decent experience
It's worst issue is the monetization and horrible balance, but the gameplay and gun use feels far better than most games
It has intriguing SCP-like stuff and the story, despite being extremely lazy and shallow on surface, has lots of depth that nobody even notices, and I don't blame them, because the devs really don't know how to present it and are clearly whipped by their masters in to focusing on lootboxes and faster content rather than polishing what they already have.
When it comes to most survival crafting slop, I would say Once Human is like an 8/10 compared to others of this genre, but this game is paralyzed by a lot of shitty bugs with every large update and the insane greed of the people responsible for it's monetization, that bootlicking redditors defend as "yeah but F2P! devs need to eat too!"
Anyway, I'm not here to advertise it, I would not want anyone to support the game because I actually want it to bleed players in hopes that they stop driving with square wheels and charging Path of Exile level prices for literally anything in their cash shop
Honestly, this game should've been a singleplayer or 4 player coop game, everything turns to shit when the industry forces everything in to always online liveservice garbage.
Despite how bad it is on the surface, I've still managed to have hundreds of hours of fun with it with my small group of friends.
Too bad quests and dialogue in the game is so awful that it turns players away, and people will never appreciate the interesting lore hidden in dozens of pages and "scp" style report papers
