I usually make Corrin a Samurai because Grim and then Shadow Yato eventually is a free decent forge and Corrin uses the Levin Sword pretty well in Swordmaster. Tome using Corrin is cool too but you can get a lot of characters that can do that and the best Tomes are limited. On the other hand, you can't get many Swordmasters.

No, this was addressed (and ignored of course). It's 8-11 mt for the entire game except the last chapter. A +2 bronze is equal but more accurate until Ch. 15, then you go +3 for 1 point mt less but 18 more accuracy.
If you just really irrationally hate bronze, a +2 iron is 1 mt less/7 more hit, and you can't even pretend the mineral cost is too demanding for that.
This is if we're pretending we're even using swords at all (we're not).

Invest into Chloé, Framme or Jean instead and you'll get better Mage results without much effort. Anna will give you better results with the cost of a fair amount of effort. One of Céline's major problems is she's reliant on her personal classes boosted stats, so on top of being worse statistically than all these options, she's also less flexible.

By the time you would even consider an Archer useful, mostly because you are fighting some Wyverns who are nowhere near the threat they were in FE6, the game gives you Louise if you really want an over-engineered "counter".

You can get all of that shit before chapter 14. By the time you get byleth you have a bolg mage who can reliably double at 5 spaces when engaged. When you get divine pulse+, a guarenteed 85-100% hit rate and thats including with staffs.
She probably has the cheapest most effective build in the whole game without engraving. But she becomes a legit frontline unit if you do a heavy investment and burn an avoid+ weight- engrave on her and double down with seraph robes.
I think shes one of the best units with DLC, without she is a solid unit with a good build, but will fall off by ch20

Let's be practical here, the only other person who has any reason using Celica in the Firene arc is Clanne and Celine at this point is a pretrained Clanne with better bulk. For example, FE11 Wolf completely breaks the game in a normal playthrough but "efficiency" is a very narrowly defined category which doesn't let you get the small amout of training that turns Wolf into a juggernaut. The only possible exception is an "efficiency" playthrough that stipulates that you must spawn EVERY child and go through all the paralogues.
In FE5 any "efficiency" run will skip chapter 14x because it costs turns.
Just to be clear, I'm not advocating for "efficiency"; I think it's a super specific gimmick run and that people shouldn't try to extrapolate general character viability based on "efficiency" tier lists.
