The cost per individual die is in the double digits (maybe low triple for larger chips like Blackwell). 80% of any modern GPU is markup; or 99% in the case of workstation GPUs that are sold for tens of thousands of shekels.

Given that they have complete control over the media and flow of information, literally not until it gets to France 1789 levels of inequality, suffering, and future uncertainty for the common man and their families.
And theyโ€™re frankly so terrified of that happening theyโ€™ll just keep us squeezed enough to wring as much value out of us as possible but not enough to question the status quo or how things could be better while distracting us from the existential class-war theyโ€™ve been waging against us for centuries.

No, since "greed" is always 100%. Its not a variable. Companies don't wake up one day and say "Hmm, I think today I'd like to make less money".
Graphics cards are expensive right now because there is a huge demand for them, especially in datacenters. I use AWS at work and we sometimes get throttled because there's not enough GPU type EC2 instances in my region that are powerful enough to deploy the LLMs we want.

Shareholders of publicly traded companies don't really make decisions, there's thousands or tens of thousands of them for each company and changes every second. You're never gonna get a consensus on any issue, which is why the only thing companies focus on is "line go up" and that attracts the most amoral people that are willing to do literally anything if they can get away with it to leadership positions

But they were exceptional because of how horribly the majority of bosses treated their workers. These people's actions are only exceptional because of the horrible context they acted within, which is also a product of the rules/laws/systems that incentivised and facilitated that state of affairs. You can find a few nice bosses today but they're only considered nice because of the context, which sucks ass on average.

Some parts are designed in Germany some in Belgium and Netherlands and some in Japan lol. Not many people know that but yeah majority of shit TSMC works on is built outside and its expertise they rely on. Thats why Chinks due to espionage can copy their shit and just get machinery from eurocuck companies and copy designs too they wont be as good but yeah in time they will get there.

Consumer GPUs are a literal recycling program. Nvidia, AMD, and now Intel, are taking all those chips that didn't make the cut for their enterprise lineup, slapping them on a PCB, bolt a cooler on top and sell them to us for stupid money. All we are doing is helping them out a little with their R&D budget. Compared to their data center and other business solutions consumer tech doesn't even amount to a drop in the bucket.

People don't like your reasoning because
>somebody who does things for money
>somebody who does things for money and is too rich
Is an arbitrary distinction you make. Kulaks didn't think they were too rich.
>most muricans defend it because they would do the exact same thing in their shoes
And most people bitching about rich people only do so because they know they won't be in those shoes.

Ragging on rich people is pointless. They will always exist, if not monetarily then some other way. Like it or not, Bezos provided a lot of value to a lot of people over the years. He should be rich.
The problem isn't being rich. It's tax avoidance, lobbying and trying to influence public opinion.

And creating dynasties of rich people that provided no actual value beyond the first generation, but "death tax" is too scary to some. Bezos earned being richer me, Bezos' great-great-grandkid didn't earn being richer than my great-great-grandkid

Life expectancy is more than the stuff insurance has any involvement with.
If you lived an unhealthy 70 years and at 70 you start getting problems that would kill you in two, but your income allows you to pay to extend it by four, so you die at 76, you still lived shorter than someone who had a more healthy 70 years of life, only started to get problems at 74, would also die in two, but the public healthcare extended it by one year. That guy died a year later despite 4x "worse" healthcare.

The model is unsustainable, in case you haven't grasped what I'm getting at. Even gigacorps will eventually reach a point where the line can't stop going up, because there isn't an infinite amount of money and an infinite amount of consumers to derive profit from.
The only reason they survive is because they have literal hundreds of billions in stockpile, so they can afford to suffer temporary hemorrhages until they make an action that allows the line to go up again after the dip.
Other companies don't get that luxury because they DON'T already have riches in backup, so they subsequently die a miserable death.

Not that anon, but the issue is that people should have realized that immoral degenerates were tailoring everything for themselves a while ago. If it took them this long to realize it, I have no faith that they won't just move on to the next thing and just go back to ignorance.

So they're greedy because they want to sell a product at market price but you're not greedy for wanting to buy one at a lower price?
Such hypocrisy /v/.

It is though. The total amount of money is increasing. Line measures money, it has to go up because if it isn't you're shrinking.

And when there's more money, it becomes less valuable due to inflation, hurting the average individual solely so the corporate reports can say the line's still going upward to keep those shareholders happy.
Billions today is equivalent to hundred thousands from way back, just because you added more digits doesn't mean it's actually more impressive, it's just placebo to trick easily-impressed suits.

TSMC is purposefully not charging as much as they probably could to remain globally important, as part of Taiwan's national defense strategy.
The reality is the seller can only set the minimum price. There is a limited fabbing capacity and expanding takes a ton of time and money. They could sell making a wafer for 1 dollar and all it would do is shift profits from them to middleman fab time resellers, the overall price to have something made in TSMC would increase

Shareholders might be clueless about the inner workings, but they aren't stupid. If you're going to stake your own money, the bare minimum is knowing your returns are beating gov bonds.
