Yeah, and it's not just "Sensei" either. They bend over backwards to strip any gender nuance outta lines that had clear intent. Meanwhile, in the JP scripts the characters are flirting, calling each other "oniichan" and "onee-san", and the EN version turns it into "buddy" or "pal". It’s goofy. Let people use honorifics and stop sanitizing everything.
