but it doesn't deserve success (and won't achieve it yet) because it has less functionality than steam but acts like it deserves to be top dog
then, epic will simultaneously participate in the same market monopoly behavior that it says steam does
if epic was actually worth it then people would be more frequently using it for more than slopnite
it can keep iterating though
not like anyone should prevent it from trying
the only thing I get pissed about is that epic gives added weight to arguments whiney indie devs who bitch and moan about the 30% cut steam takes even though it does a fuckton of retailer services for people who otherwise couldn't successfully print something at Staples much less legitimately launch a real videogame to millions of people with advertising and support much less deal with physical retailers who are a bitch to wrangle and monitor for compliance with your distribution deal.
