>"I think the more you understand what underlies these current tools, the more effective you are at taking advantage of them," Newell says of AI. "But I think we'll be in this funny situation where people who don't know how to program who use AI to scaffold their programming abilities will become more effective developers of value than people who've been programming for a decade.
>"Even if you're just a pure tool user, you're gonna find that the gains to utilizing those tools are very, very high. But I think your ability to use those tools will continue to improve the more you understand the underlying methods and mindsets of people developing machine learning systems. So I think it's both, and I think they're highly complementary."

Gabe knows the future. The future is white women breeding with big dick brown men that use AI. While wh*te β€œmen” take estrogen and play the slop handed to em. Gabe is truly a visionary

It's well known in every industry if you don't keep up, you'll be left behind. And being left behind means you are less valuable and thus earn less money.

You do realize there aren't any more white women after 1 generation of that, right?

You don't get white women in perpetuity by magic

This is the guy who thought Artifact was a good idea though.

AI lets you produce subpar slop faster, at the cost of your own intelligence. Not knowing how to code is a bad thing for a developer, simple as.

I mean it's true, the average programmer is a fucking moron.

He's right
My job recently had a hackathon and the new guy made a more useful project than our seniors because they were more focused on autistic back end shit than proving out an idea and quickly iterating by releasing to the market and seeing if anyone cares.
Most devs just sit in a dark corner and code for months on end spiraling into an endless loop of refactoring or introducing a new framework because some random fag on twitter said it was cool.
Unless you're making it for yourself, your users/customers/stakeholders don't really give a fuck what framework you're using.
They only care if it solves the problem or does the job they wanted it to do. And they don't care if it's fair that they only care about that.

It is already a thing without AI.
Look at something like undertale. Its a catastrophe if you delve into code. Shitty copy pasting, mistakes everywhere, inefficient code, bad practices... its just bad. But each bit serves a greater purpose bringing the whole thing closer to the end goal. The release of a game.

Meanwhile you have top tier programming savants, who can never release a game. Why? Because they are too caught up in the details. Constantly refactoring code, reworking systems, new implementations of tech. Its not even a feature creep, they are literally polishing the same code over and over and over indefinitely, patting themselves on the back how they saved 5 cpu cycles on a snippet that will run twice and has no impact on performance.
Its hilarious to me, watching the Pirate software drama from the sidelines. The guys code is an absolute shitshow. But he actually released games. People call him a fraud, and sure, he is absolutely nowhere near the savant he portrays himself as. But I still find it hilarious how people with 0 games released are telling him how to do his job. When neither knows how to do it well.

By that logic, isn't fucking black people a good thing, as long as we're the majority still?

That's what teddy Roosevelt advocated for and we see the terrible results of that with the modern Amerimutt.
