Do you consider yourself to be good at video games? I beat Sekiro and Elden Ring without summons so I must be a more skilled gamer than at least 90% of /v/, right?

No, and I might be mentally retarded because even in RPGs I find myself just using guides or builds to make the game easier. Such is life.

depends on the genre, i'm ok at arcade style games and have beaten games like godhand. i'm really good at Fighting games. or at least good enough to win events for different games, any other MP genre i'm beyond hopeless.

My greatest gaming achievement is beating Ocarina of Time without guides.

I got every achievement in Super Meat Boy. That's the hardest I pushed myself for the time being.

I'll have you know that I died to the first Goomba in 1-1 of Super Mario Bros and only cried for twenty minutes.

You beat a game that allows grinding?
No.

Same, it's been a few years. But that's definitely also one of my highlights for sure. That shit was psychological (Impossible Boy)

Took me a long time to mentally prepare myself for the Cotton Alley achievements but once I got better at the harder levels and doing them first that's when it clicked for me. Had a few moments where I lost a run with one or two levels remaining, but when you get further in more often it doesn't feel as frustrating when you die compared to when you just started out playing them.

No, but I don't even know what's good, or care about being good or bad. It's my video-game, not yours.

That’s very respectable. Using guides even for little shit you miss just ruins the whole experience

For me Girl Boy wasn't too bad it was mainly Impossible Boy that upped the ante like 10x compared to the rest. I held off on it for like a year and then kept grinding for days on end until I finally got it. The chokes near the end were annoying but my strategy was to leave the levels least impacted by skill (nerves) for last so I could pass those even while cracking.
