Bootlickers are the worst thing to have in a fanbase because they’ll defend absolutely everything. Defend Nintendo online aggressively and then buy multiple copies to spite “snoys”.
If a fanbase acts like this all the time and game keep selling, what incentive is there to improve? A company’s highest priority is money, so making a game more expensive when it was gonna break records anyways means less profit. In fact that means making a game worse is better since you’re spending less and keeping expectations lower.
