I like it a lot more than the regular BL games.

Fuck knows.
My last BorderLands game was the Pre-Sequel. I'm glad I didn't jump into the sequels.

The gameplay is good and the randomized endgame was infinitely better than the other games because it made progression not ass, but I am not a fan of the DnD style at all. The spells instead of grenades and melee weapons were 10/10 additions.

The story in wonderland is extremely short compared to the other games, pretty easy to speed through.

NTA, but I liked WL more that 3 as well. I agree on the "so bad it might as well not even exist" endgame of WL being ass as well as the guns feeling lackluster, but I liked the class system. The spells were fun, despite being fancy grenades at heart, and finally getting melee weapons was fantastic.

If WL had an endgame more like 3 and just a bit more variety in gear, I'd like it more than 3. 3s gameplay and gear is just so damned good that even the abysmal excuse of a plot doesn't drag down how much I like the game. I'm not saying the plot for WL was better by any means, though. The game just scratched that BL itch in a slightly different way for me.

What is the best spellshot build?

From a sheer gameplay standpoint, it's arguably the best. Huge refinements on BL3, the spell system was a lot of fun, the class system worked well, there were sufficient build-altering drops throughout the top three rarities, legendary drop rates weren't aggressively common like in BL3, and while it's still not as easy to potentially die as it was in BL2, it's not entirely as braindead easy as BL3 (although it is still very much easy). It's just in a similar boat as TPS, where it was an objective improvement on the main game for so many things, only to then lack the structure that really digs into Borderlands fans, especially since there's no form of New Game + at all in this game, which is egregious. Plus the DLC was actually insulting.

Tiny Tina actually doesn't speak a lot, I'd say. She's definitely present, but the dialogue consists more of the other two NPCs that are also sitting at the table. They bounce off of Tina, but it's more them than anything, and they're.......okay, I guess. Kinda dull but mostly inoffensive.

It's fun, but the boardgame shit and the random battles hold it back from greatness. Feels less dnd and more jrpg. Having an unironic tranny npc that never shuts up doesn't help.
