I’m pretty sure the GameCube was better than every Nintendo console released before it. I would argue it’s better than the Wii and the Wii U. It’s up to you guys if you think it’s better than the switch and switch 2 but everything released after the GameCube has basically been a gimmick machine that doesnt directly compete with the other console but has some kind of unique quirky gimmick to set it apart to justify it having worse graphics and being less powerful in general. the GameCube had a respectable library size and the graphics were good. Idk what else you want from a console.

I wrote a whole thing out point about how retarded your argument is but it was too long to post and I ended up just deleting it. If you want to talk about good resident evil games the outbreak series on PS2 is great and some of my favorite resident evil games in general period. Ps2 has good games and a good library but performing a bunch of mental gymnastics saying that re4 is better on ps2 is retarded and is just an emotionally based argument centered around you not liking the GameCube. It was designed around the GameCube and the GameCube was a more powerful console. Re4 looks worse in every way on ps2 and them adding 1 new weapon, 1 extra meme costume for each character, and separate ways which is a half hour long mission reusing assets from the game we have played 20 times does not balance out the fact that the ps2 version may as well be the zeebo version because most people do not want to play it on the ps2. doesnt have better controls either on ps2 that’s your opinion. Personally I think the ps2 controller is the worst of that gen and the best is the s controller from the Xbox. Ps2 is too small for a grown adult to use for more than a half hour or so. Game was designed around the GameCube controller from stage 1.

it does have a better d-pad and its probably why so many games only utilized the dpad. most games on the gamecube used the analog stick and the dpad on the gamecube was supplementary for selecting things. i said it already that most of the ps2 games i own didnt even use the analog sticks. The face buttons are subjective there is nothing wrong with the gamecube buttons. especially for games designed for the controller which emphasize the A and b button and x and y are supplementary. if you are just going to turn it into a dick waving contest the triggers again as i said are much better on the gamecube. the only thing they could have done to improve the gamecube is to give you a second z button. but when the gamecube came out most games across all 3 consoles didnt even need bumper buttons. many games on ps2 that utilize all 4 triggers do so while ignoring the two control sticks. have you ever played armored core on the ps2? they make you use the trigger buttons to look up and down and like i said before the triggers on the ps2 feel like ass and are little tiles they arent even triggers. if you wanted to make the argument that somehow between the gamecube and the ps2 a controller had bad buttons it would specifically be the ps2 triggers that are fucked up.
