The biggest fucking insult they could’ve done to a masterpiece like FFX, all just to milk the last bit of hype out of it. If they had just called it a spin-off, people would’ve accepted it way better. Genuinely good game. The only thing I didn't get playing it as a kid was how you needed to go to every area in each chapter. I didn't get that when I was 10 years old so I'd just randomly go around trying to figure shit out and inevitably missing a lot of stuff. X is still my favorite game of all time but looking back X-2 was actually an awesome follow up

I played it the first time about a year ago. It's a cool game, lots of nice world building and has a ton of neat little details put into it. Very soulful game, but play it for the game, not for the armpits

4 is garbage, the plot is a worse version of 2 and extremely linear, there's no player input on how to build the party, spells or equipment and the only sidequest involves dropping a rat tail to get a new sword.
It's essentially a worse 13 because at least 13 opens up at the end, while it took three releases for the final party of 4 to be selectable at all.

It had unique costumes for everyone's dress spheres. And the dress spheres were just the job system all over again. And I always loved the job system. So naturally I enjoyed it's gameplay. The story was uh, I don't remember anything honestly. I definitely beat it though, I recall that.

Still the PS2 versions. Remasters have fucked up faces. x-2 does have an International version but it doesn't add much compared to X's. The creature creator is pretty fun for the sole fact that its optional and you can do it whenever you want.
