Because only the first 3 games were good and literally everything after that ranged from "meh" to "genuinely fucking terrible"

The entire LOS trilogy was just trying to create some new fantasy series for kids that could also hop off the LOTR trend at the time. Remember, Elijah Wood aka Frodo Baggins is the voice of the main character instead of Tom Kenny.

Yeah, I'm aware. That whole trilogy seemed like it only existed to try and pitch a "LOTR but dragons" movie to hollywood. Even as a young teen, I thought the writing was godawful deviantart fanfiction, and the shit gameplay didn't help.
