Dark souls, Bloodborne, Elden ring, Sekiro, NIOH have dozens of different visual cues to emphasize enemy being hit, character movement & weapon feedback very precise instead of being floaty
When I splatter a Kaiden sellsword like a pancake with my giant crusher like pancake it exterts dopamine like nothing
The katana animation from Cyberpunk made me uninstall the game after experiencing Rivers of blood
But let's get down to main course
Nobody besides capcom holds a candle to From sofr's enemy design. They one up each time they release a new game
Take any random enemy from elden ring, not even bosses cleanrot or Zamor heros. These "enemies" are on par with bosses from dark souls 3 in terms of animation complexity & moveset diversity. Take Grafted scion, 12 attack animations with their own variation. Crucible knight, Cleanrots, Banished knight are work of art
There's a fuckin 2nd phase in a nirmal enemy like humanoid tree guardians, where they use trick weapon
No game would put this much effort into an enemy as Elden ring does besides Monster hunter. I'm not even comparing elden ring with any open world RPG game in terms of enemy design or level design or combat encounter as it'd be like a coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb scenario
Then you add top notch world design & vast arsenal of weapons to choose from. Dark souls 4,5,6,7,8 will always sell no matter what
