More 2D games, and larger library. That's about it.
The actual 3D games aged better on the N64 honestly, especially when you're able to render it at 8x native resolution and reduce the blur

Because it has the best game library of all time, the N64 is the most overrated console of all time by far, for example you won't find any N64 game that anyone would call difficult, it was a console made for casuals with pretty weak third party support.

PS1 had so much games that it is unfair comparting them both. As someone who spent so much time of my life playing ps1, I can say that I'm still impressed of every obscure game discovery for this platform while that 64 had all the same usual suspects.

Because unlike the N64, the PS1 wasn't shackled to cartridges in an era when CD-ROMs were literally changing the game. More room = bigger experiences, more FMVs, actual voice acting, weirder experimental stuff. N64 stuck with Mario, Zelda, and Rare while PS1 got everything from Silent Hill to Vib-Ribbon. It aged better because it was already ahead of its time.

CD's being cheap to produce and holding a lot more data gave third-party developers a low bar to develop literally whatever they wanted. While it gave birth to the shovelware trend on consoles, it also gave PS1 a fuckhuge library of good games.

Nintendo needed its first and second party games just to stay afloat, imagine N64 without Mario or Zelda or Rare titles...what else is there? Not much. Meanwhile first party Sony titles, while good, aren't really the system defining games (ok, maybe except GT), and as a result people's N64 libraries look mostly the same whereas most people's PS1 libraries look completely different.

Everyone except Sega and Nintendo was making games for the PSX. Things were going in every direction. Nintendo? The devs were (and still are) OBSESSED with their ideology. (we're not devs, we're artists! we know better than the filthy uneducated players what they need!).

Quality and quantity of the ps library dwarfed the n64. I would even say the Saturn had a better library than the n64.

I never got over the pixel jitter on the Playstation games and they're unplayable today. N64 games are much better and can be improved better with emulation.

It 'aged' better because nobody actually plays PS1 games anymore, because the library was all bland chaff. It was a product better left in the past because there is effectively nothing worth playing on it. N64 and Saturn both have hidden gems that justify the respective consoles existence. PS1 has nothing of the sort, it is a glorified CD player at this point.
