While it is disappointing to see Starfield make the exact same mistake Elite:Dangerous did at least Starfield has some proper narrative driven quests too and you'll get several dozen hours of enjoyment from doing that stuff.

Still gets to me how much of a generic piece of shit saarfield is.
Like the enemies are called "spacers" lmao, the world in general just isn't interesting. The planets suck. The cities are tiny and don't feel galactic at all. Such a joke of a game. Todd completely lacks imagination in sci-fi, he just happened to make the most bland, generic, shitty sci-fi universe ever made.
By the way, here's your massive, sprawling, futuristic human colony planet established for many years. Yep, a tiny town in bumfuck USA with 1000 residents has a bigger footprint than Todd's sci-fi cities.

They have absolutely abandoned it. They wanted to have Community-Driven Content from their own portal to fill the game out and it completely failed. Starfailed is a 1-and-done "franchise" and will probably be memoryholed after Todd retires in 2028.
