Excellent timing
Played halo reach customs last night for about 4 hours and it was kino of the highest order
Got to meet new people and find creative ways of messing with halo's physics system

For starters it didn't feel like shit to play
Controls were concise and the camera controls were assisted
The camera controls were also very responsive with fine-tuned deadzones and acceleration curves

but neither did games like timesplitters which came before. and that's outside of stuff like pc shooters, i can get why halo redefined console FPS because before then it was either a direct port of a PC shooter with no auto aim to help out pad users or a game with too much auto aim like timesplitters/goldeneye/perfect dark. but the control scheme was really all that springs to mind. outside of that it was neat but i'd rather just play UT if i was on a pc and wanted a game like it.

i accept your concession.
