Also, now that I played a round without Astra with the new aftershock-assist Gear, I must say, Astra FUCKS it up really badly. She overwrites the procs with her switch buff almost at all times. Compared to that, I was hitting the aftershock assists all the time now.

I got to Floor 70 and all the badges/rewards with M2 Miyabi/Trigger/Astra, Yixuan/Pan/Ju Fufu(who doesn't even have 3400 ATK sadly).
Used SS Anby/Trigger/Astra a couple times but it's just really difficult at higher levels to know when exactly to dodge because the Yellow/Red prompts disappear and enemies can go from swinging to hitting in milliseconds.

I was interested in Orphie, but learning that her default personality is just the "awkward, clumsy" one kinda turns me off.

Eh, you're right and wrong. It was not a compelling mode; the gameplay was boring and it was way too visually abstract and uninteresting. However, the idea of a lower-fidelity grid-based mode had merit. They're either man made, or humanity did something to spawn them, since Eridu, aka the last city of humanity, despite having tech to prevent them and even harvest them, got hit by one of the biggest in history. And with all that knowledge they still got fucked over with how hollow zero expanded
They used majority of their "rods" that are literal size of skyscrappers to stop hollow zero from expanding with addition of the canyon there. Without that, they would get fucked. If 2nd hollow zero happens, there's no way to save humanity. The smaller companion hollows happen because of the olders, bigger hollows being nearby
Outside new eridu, that was just old-eridu suburbs, you have literal madmax wastelands controlled by biker gangs, because eridu simply doesn't have people to exert control over those. And there's no telling what ucker happens ina wasteland where settlement can vanish overnight due to hollow

hollows themselves are like that one angel from eva, that loooks small outside, but can be a 20x bigger, geomethrical nightmare. In first scenes you can see anby entering from the top yet in a hollow she's flying horizontally. You can wander in hollow for hours only to realzie that you made a 100m circle. Melinoe hollow have literal pic related gheometry anomaly to the point that 2 agents standing in same spot can see completely diffirent terrain. You're on top? walk 5 meters and it look like you walking on the walls
It's so nightmarish, that they coould really expand upon this and make a great story and setting instead of chinking out with 2.0

That's the only time that happens (so far). Agent Stories are typically after the chapter, but Trigger and Anby's happen before the main story of patch they show up in. Soldier 11's happens sometime between 1.0 and 2.0, but she's not going to slap you in the face when she shows up like Trigger and Anby do.

going further, the older the hollow, the more fucked up etherals sit there. Rememebr Miyabi first entrance? that flower hollow was just the outer zone one. Meaning deeper inside they're way bigger, harder ones, and Miyabi cant kill this. You have entire special force dedicated to bait this thing, and force it to depower from powered-up state in controlled zone, to prevent it from going berserk without control. Thats all they can do. At one point, they got ghepetto acting like tyranid hivemind and all you could do was fend him off. And he was pulled by something back there, way bigger. Thats why they're so paranoid about "proxies" and non authorized personel going there, because if they happen to wander and starle some giant fucking murdershit, their hollow zero outpost gets doomed

but wait, they're farming hollows right? so why proxies complain about energy prices? because those hollow-farming refineres produce not your typical exhaust. That exhaust forms into hollows you giht in shiryu. They have entire defence force that sits there 24/7 and fight hollows that morph from exhaust. And god forbid them being too slow or refinery going too hard, ebcause they can produce etheral too hard to handle

I loved the TV mode and I stopped playing when they released the pink haired office lady but I think the major issue was how switching between combat and tv mode really broke the flow of the game. That being said it's sad they basically gave up on tv mode and now it's your typical gacha game with corridors leading into arenas where you fight. If they were going to abandon TV mode they could have at least added open zones instead of closed off corridors.

Sanby was underpowered on launch but has a dramatic buff to off-field Aftershock damage so she's a buffer designed to be played in a team with off-field Aftershock subdps.
