After a sufficient period of getting used to computers and the games themselves, highly competent, but because they tended to be driven smart people that learn quickly and can get serious about stuff, not because there's any transferable skills or of note. If, say, Hannibal Barca has some special insight to how bodies of men will behave in combat, as he undoubtedly does, then that could only be detrimental, because no game behaves anything like how real combat works. One thing that might transfer over would be decisiveness, but I think that's more of a personality trait than "skill".
