>>715889284 (OP) K. Rool was missing for over a decade from the franchise and none of their villains since (except ironically Void Co.) have remotely measured up to him and his faction.
Ganon meanwhile is incessantly spammed even at the direct expense of more interesting villains getting fridged in the endgame.
>>715889423 He was imprisoned underground in some sort of stasis. He was only awoken by a Monkey going near his catatonic body, causing his racist reflexes to activate involuntarily and punch the nearest kong into orbit.
>>715889438 >Coming on a board where everything gets leaked days/weeks before the games even release to complain about leaks Extreme estrogen behavior, go on /r/nintendo if you want hecking leaks censored

>>715889438 it's a mario game but with a monkey. spoilers don't mean a damn.
K. Rool works best when you dont actually see him physically until the end of the game, you just see what he's been demanding >DKC you dont even know what he looks like until the end battle >DKC2 it turns out the new villain is an alias of K. Rool >DKC3 exists >DK64 has him appear frequently in cutscenes so his presence is dulled >Bonanza makes his appearance a big celebration so it's exciting

>>715891828 Anon the OG hijacked by Ganon plotline is literally ganon in Link to the Past.
>>715891610 >Gets launched into Space after DK beats his ass >Possibly sent to Lylat where everyone is as racist as him. At least he can say all the slurs he wants now.
>>715892113 I like the idea that the Mario/DK universe is the same universe as Star Fox, it makes things very cursed And it's all because of Tricky the Dinosaur and all those shenanigans with Rareware
>>715889284 (OP) I'll die on the hill that Zant was a good villain. The whip lash from having this imposing king turn out to be a pathetic man child was kino
>>715892461 Zant believing literally anything if it means he gets what he wants is hilarious, the whole point of the Twilight Realm was being banished by the goddesses for dark magic so they're pretty aware the big three exist, then in walks Ganondorf's head and Zant believes it instantly

>>715892597 >>715892417 Yea but it's put forward as a twist Then oracles does it, then four swords does it, and finally TP does it Zelda has continually done the hijacked twist and it's been long enough since Link Between Worlds (the last hijacked by Ganon game) that the next game will probably do it
>>715892774 Zant isn't literally ganondorf astral projecting like agahnim is

>>715892856 >since Link Between Worlds (the last hijacked by Ganon game) Yuga remains in control of Ganon's body the whole time. Ganon doesn't hijack anything because he's brain dead at that point.

>>715892856 Four Swords Adventures does it on Gamecube, interestingly so because it implies it's a Ganondorf reincarnation of some kind and he actually, literally steals the plot from Vaati instead of being a present thing from the background
