Evil fucking company.
timmy posters are embarrassing
>>715892620 (OP)Gabe gives tiny devs a marketplace of 500 million customers, free of charge.
your game doesnt sell a single copy? I dont charge you.
>>715892770he's lost a lot of weight now
>Leech 30%
It's called paying your steamstore tax. At least unlike in real life, those taxes don't go towards free healthcare for Isreal.
>>715892964>free of charge>I dont charge you.Big talk from a guy who has clearly never published anything on Steam.
>>715892964>your game doesnt sell a single copy? I dont charge you.Oh, how kind of him to not charge anything when there's been no cost to him.
You act like this is some amazing and unheard of benevolent thing. This will blow your mind, the way it works for a regular store is they PAY the supplier for the stock, not charge the suppliers a fee for the privilege of being in their store.
Gabe Newell is an awful scammer.
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
>>715892620 (OP)>Don't make gamesThey're still making the greatest game in history though?
>>715892620 (OP)This is why the Norman Bates suits can't compete with Steam directly. And why things might collapse after Gaben unalives.
Gaben loves video games and works related to them every single day. Timmies spend their time thinking how to manipulate people, taking orders from big money, doing drugs or complimenting/backstabbing each other in leather chairs.
>>715893271That system makes it way harder to break into the market
Sure are a lot of manufactured hate on steam since the whole rape+incest r18 games being removed

>>715894143no one likes a billionaire, they're the kind of people if you see them bleeding out on the street you keep walking.
30% to not have to think about server costs for file hosting, game and patch distribution, payment processing, refund handling, Steamworks API usage (and the gazillions of things that lets you do), cloud saves, a forum for the game, limited to extensive advertisement (depends), and a bunch of other things I'm probably forgetting sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
I'd accept that if I was an indie dev.
why do leftists think they should be able to control how I spend my own money?
>>715892964>free of charge. It costs 100$ to put a game on steam, everyone has to pay that.
>>715892620 (OP)As long as the service itself doesn't become shittier over time I will literally not care.

PC cucks are embarrassing but steamniggers are truly on another level.
>>715893271Actually suppliers regularly pay stores to carry their goods or to place them in better spots in the store.
>>715894709you're the kind of person i'd cause to bleed out
now go donate to hasan so he can afford more illegal mexicans to clean his multi-million dollar mansion
>>715892620 (OP)>Evil fucking company.Yes but that's nearly every company. It's rent seekers all the way down in capitalism and always was.
Tim is right. What Valve does is unethical. Their profits come from gambling and skimming 30% from game designers.
if all he does is scuba dive and drive his yacht around he's the least evil billionaire
