>>715897647 (OP) Why build such a resort in the middle in a desert shithole? Why not build it right across a nicea beach, heck, Costa del Sol is in the vicinity >Vegas The question still stand, really.
>>715899208 In the original canon it wasn't originally a desert. In Barret's flashback you can see the area is a forest. In Remake however they changed it so that it's no longer built on top of Old Corel, so who knows.
>>715900284 Yeah, it was easy land and they put a reactor there so it must have had plenty of mako before the Saucer drained it all.

>>715899208 The lore in the remake is that Dio convinced higher ups to finance it as a museum of some sort and slowly converted it into a huge amusement park which proved successful. The location is probably because they expected it to be shit at first.
>>715897647 (OP) Just imagine: there's a golden sourcer under another one.

>>715902103 Technically it was flourishing like Gongaga, but due to mako sucking in order to keep every light on, this caused the formation of the desert. In fact in Rebirth there's 4 little mako reactors that keeps the entire park active.
>>715903641 it would has been nice to see, if the day shifting was not fixed for "lore" purposes, considering that all the events of FF7 happens in around 1 month.
