Patched strict class roles into the game, mushmak was a huge waste of time, turned out people wanted to customize their mechs more than the gooners wanted to customize their waifus, and chinese secret bot match fixing.

The bots are only going to get worse, too. Last beta whenever the game struggled to find a match because of lowering player counts, straight to botland you go. Once it drops below a certain population the game will apparently just settle for giving you bots long before it'll ever find players.

Everything else is a skill issue. Aquilla on the other hand is just fucking unfair, literally no counter other than another Aquilla.

They went all in on their dumb extraction shooter idea in a gaming sphere already saturated with extraction shooters.
Its like releasing a MOBA at the height of LoL and DOTA's popularity. Everyone who tried failed because there just isn't room for multiple games at the top. You get the popular one, the runner up, and then everything else fails. At the same time, their other mode is just a hero shooter, which is already dominated by Overwatch and Marvel Rivals.
The one niche this game has is character customization (both mech and character) and for the final release they locked a bunch of that down to nickel and dime people. Once everyone got over the ass shots for marketing purposes, they realized underneath the game is just a mediocre shooter with typical eastern game MTX pricing.
Its the hero shooter equivalent of a korean MMO, and just like every Korean MMO it has a short term appeal to gooner whales before dying and being replaced by the next one.

As for fighting Aquila, it depends I guess. Beating a bot Aquila is pretty hard because it can straight up cheat, but an actual player is honestly not that bad. If you're playing Skyraider you also have the jamming missiles you can use to shield yourself from energy damage or mess up their lock-on, and if you touch the ground or want to untransform and transform back into flight mode you could also use those as cover while you recharge.

They clearly built big pve bosses they could have implemented beyond just the tutorial, but instead they went with the retarded extraction bullshit.

Use your maneuvers like the downward loop (you are unable to be locked on during the loops) use your missiles to harass and get damage on his fluid armor along with the energy missile, shoot him with charge shots, and keep doing it until he's dead. Are you insane? Welkin quite literally has the highest energy regen out of all melee mechs and the highest base energy capacity out of all mechs period. Sure, his jumps and boosts cost a little more, but the raw stats more than compensate. He is undeniably one of the most energy efficient mechs in the game. Hell, his melee swings even cost less energy than Alysnes's for no discernable reason whatsoever.

His howitzer is actually one of the better ranged weapons in the game. It's straight up pound-for-pound better than Sego's primary and has the benefit of being reloaded like a normal gun rather than having a cooldown like most guns, giving it excellent dps. Hell, hop into training and you can easily see that, when coupled with his innate bulk, Welkin can easily outshoot many ranged energy primaries like Alysnes, Hurricane, and Serenith with his fucking sidearm.

I don't know, the game is okay, but after a few games I just find it repetitive and boring. I don't know why chink games focus on so many different modes, and they also all have that shitty UI where you don't know how to find shit.
It's the exact same thing with Delta Force for example, which has a Battlefield mode and an extraction mode. The problem is they are unable to focus on both at the same time, and it divides the playerbase.

I think this is a much bigger issue for the game than anything else even though the balancing of the mechs is really shit which is also killing it.

The bots create a problem where it destroys mmr where bad players are not being punished everyone is moved upwards into a rank they did not deserve along with the poor balancing shitters will play broken mechs and also get moved up even more quickly without understanding fundamentals. This creates matches where one team absolutely crushes the other team then you get 2 bot matches and return to getting crushed moving upwards all along. It feels worse than not winning at all because it makes you feel like ranking up doesn't matter.
Oh and the rewards for the team game modes need to be equal with the extraction game mode.

What they were looking at was how players would react to the loot boxes, extraction mode, increased currencies, and reduction / splintering of cosmetics. Their original plan was grind and grind relief which is why you had to grind out the mechs. When they realized that they could get away with pay to win and pay to not lose in the extraction mode if they left PvP alone they went all in and linked everything to the extraction mode.
