I'd probably have the Nights of Azure games by now if it weren't for the fact that the only one available on Switch is the second one and I'm not sure if the first game is needed as context. I remember being interested in it a while back, but that put me off. Now that I'm on PC I'll probably get it down the line.

Yeah, getting both Nights of Azure games on PC during a sale might be a good choice. Nights of Azure 2 has a different protagonist and the story isn't extremly related to the first game, but considering that Arnice (the main character in the first game) also appears in the sequel among other things, I'd say that it's not required to play Nights of Azure first but it's recommended at least.

Now, if we were talking about the Blue Reflection series, that would be another story, I openly say ''do not play Blue Reflection: Second Light without playing the original game first''.

It looks ridiculous and it's very unrealistic. Sure, a lot of things in video games are unrealistic, it's unrealistic the fact that Atelier characters can suffer serious attacks and still fight or how there's very little blood in the franchise (characters don't bleed in many anime style games or at least we don't see the characters bleed)...but one draws the line somewhere, and that official art crosses the line and not in a good way.

It's true that a lot of Arland characters are modest in size (not just Totori and Mimi), but I kind of disagree that he rarely does big boobs and that they're not that big. A lot of Blue Reflection characters (especially Kokoro Utsubo) have big boobs after all. That said, his art style is often colorful and when it's not that colorful (like in Blue Reflection) it definitely has this relaxing or soft vibe, I think that his art is even kind of ''girly'' or ''cute'', so, I can at least see why people would think that his art style lends itself more to flat chests like Moco Moco Friends.
