larian makes shit
its well made shit, but the design is bad
i bet there are some really well crafted bowling balls that i could watch a documentary on how well crafted they are, but i still dont give any shits about bowling
crpgs were a mistake. shitty h games where you join the adventurers guild and take a quest to kill some goblins or collect some herbs are more immersive, they could copy those and remove the h content and still have better games than the typical tabletop emulating main story line following slop. main quest lines are garbage and every game is better off if they simply removed them and instead focused entirely on character interactions and setting vibes.
whats astonishing that that fanboys of these game always spend their time writting headcanon or fanfiction, so they know this. intuitively its better to play make believe in the game world with the characters and play the actual plot, yet i bet they will all disagree with this post and demand we continue getting cyberpunk2077/bg3 (its the same plot) stories ruining immersion.
