This boss is actually really fun, you chase him through the layers and he isn’t braindead like the bosses before him. Still don’t like when they use an entire level for bosses though.

The wave is moving fine, it's just getting affected by hitstop. You can see the "stutter" only happens when it collides with and destroys the terrain.

It runs really well actually. It just has performance hitches during specific times. the game itself is fantastic and it doesn't detract from the experience at all. But, this is /v/ and /v/iggers don't play video games. They just collect unflattering webms and screenshots to add to their folder.

It's a special boss battle at the 50% mark of the game.

It's the only time so far performance died on me and it's specifically these moving rings of terrain (since those are actual terrain features you interact with like in the regular game, not objects, warping terrain is MUCH more costly on a game engine than just moving an instance of an object)

The battle takes place on the big rock.. ship... thingie and the entire gimmick of the battle is the boss summoning in terrain features, more details for THAT arena would therefor be counter intuitive.

again, it's because nintendo keeps forcing doubled buffered vsync. if they just stopped doing that it would drop probably to 45-50 fps at the worst but because it's double buffered a single frame drop forces it to 30 then it shoots back to 60

What "killed the switch 2" is that they reserve the right to turn it into a useless fucking hunk of plastic glass and metal if you try to play a used game that you bought at a used game store or for literally any other reason that suits their neurotic fancy.

The pop in is INSANE in this game. I recorded a clip of objects popping in and out in plain view just because of basic camera rotation. Can't believe DF didn't comment on it, it's so obvious all the time when playing.
