I am 179 years old and have been playing video games since I was in my mother's womb. I can say with absolute certainty that this is the greatest work of art ever created in the history of our species. The Sistine Chapel, The Roman Colosseum, The Mona Lisa, Citizen Kane, the symphonies of Mozart, The Complete Works of Shakespeare, Homer and Dostoevsky. In my life, I have experienced all of these things first hand, and yet this game surpasses all of them. I felt more emotions during the prologue of this game than during my first child's birth, and I cried harder during the ending than when my first wife was being buried. Thank you for proving to me that even after all my years of feeding on human blood, that I can still be moved to tears by a humble indie game made by a ragtag group of French developers with hundreds of millions being invested in them. the prologue was incredibly packed with feels if you took the time to go slowly and observe the npcs.
i particularly like the lone guy about to gommage standing just before the dock holding a picture of some other guy.
who is this other guy? was he gay? was this is friend? his brother? dad? the picture could be recent or very old. what was the significance of the photograph? he was standing all by himself with out anyone else, holding that picture. in not clarifying what was happening and making me speculate, i experienced all the possibilities. truly art
