It's reviews are "Mostly Negative" but I checked and it's entirely reviews from people mad they couldn't figure out how to play. The difficulty curve is more like a cliff but if you can get over it several reviewers say it's absolutely amazing at letting you become a ruthless CEO crushing your opponents buisnesses left and right by any means possible.

Thy Kingdom Crumble is a jumping tower game, like Jump Knight but it has several twists such as a very unique climbing system and powerups to get along the way. It's really really fun for some strange reason. I don't normally like these types of games but this one sucked me in.

Microbes and Machines, it's a lil top down shooter dungeon crawler type thing. Super cheap and unknown yet highly rated at 85% positive. It has some very surprisingly deep upgrade paths and RPG mechanics.

FIREWORK, as the description makes it pretty obvious, think Megaman meets Cave Story.

2D story-based platformer with some replayability and such. Not the best thing in the world, but still pretty good. You may know the dev from IMSCARED but there's no meta elements there.

Normal price is $6 which i'd say goes real nice but It's also on itch for 2 dollars less if you want, or I guess switch/xbox if you prefer console (way higher priced though). Only 33 Steam reviews, a shame... but 93% positive out of those at least, kek

Neat metroidvania with heavy emphasis on platforming. No combat, ~6 hours long.

Also it's just over the cutoff but https://store.steampowered.com/app/2721530/Afterplace/ is a phenomenal 2D zelda clone with a really well-constructed non-euclidian map and fun characters. Really rewards clever exploration and testing the systems, though that also means there's a few interactions and conversations that are missable if you don't go out of your way to try and test everything.
