I first played the beta, then returned with a fresh account when the first "open world" was in. It wasn't difficult to progress through the story, such that it is.
When I tried f2p Destiny, I had no fucking clue. Apparently the campaign that you'd see at release got taken away, and you are just plopped in some ruins and told to have fun. You can either shoot infinitely respawning space bug squad 20 meters away from a church you spawn in, or get a quest from some bum inside the church to kill another respawning bug squad that's 5 minutes of walking away.

They clearly got multiple rewrites since then as Aoi's personality is much more upbeat and childish compared to the original serious one portrayed.

In the Bad End of the Hex Quest, it's noted that the Indifference actually falls together with all the dead Hex (matching how Radiation is one of its weaknesses and Entrati built Qorvex in the future), which reinforces that. But the twist is that it was more of a backup plan. Actual one was forcing the Drifter and the Hex to work together and get the power of love to fight back.

We don't know why Tau is so important. But Lettie recognizes that they are chanting Mayan Mythology much to her confusion

I use that function mostly on Railjack missions since it feels more natural to have a full helmeted Warframe when I'm invading than a Protoframe with exposed face.
The rest depends on the situation. When I'm in 1999 or fighting Grineer I usually prefer to use Protoframes. Corpus and the rest of more advanced enemies I tend to use normal Warframes.
I do exploit the Gemini emote for Excalibur once a while since Chromatic Blade changes type depending on the color so if I'm in a mixed mission this means I can change types on the fly
