Rockstar should have stuck with making custom songs that fit the era of the game they're in, rather than licensing music. You never hear about GTA3 having any licensing issues.

Too silly in places for its own good and I dislike the change in atmosphere to liberty city. Mechanically it is an upgrade though but that isn't enough.

is it the closest to GTA 3-2? I really love 3 specifically and VC is the closest so far but its "eh" in some parts. What are the missions like?

This gets lost with SA simply due to scale. So, so much of SA is just window dressing with nothing happening (be it missions of any sort or collectibles) that make the game kinda boring to explore the nooks and crannies of. This is further compounded imo by the hunting down of gang tags in particular which give in no way a reward in line with the effort required to find them.
III and VC were much better in that regard with their hidden packages.

Whenever I hear this exact station at this moment it brings me back to the first time ever playing it the same month and year it was released. It sucks to never feel that moment again.

It does give some nice visual cues - especially when exploring for the first time and you see a colour you've not seen before making it more interesting to find out what it is.

it is interesting though how starting with gta vc they started categorizing them with the colors, blue for melee weapons, yellow for smgs and orange for assault rifles etc

i've always been super fond of it. a bit sillier in places but III, while i love it dearly, sometimes kind of felt one-dimensional or a bit 'dull' at times with some of the missions. VC and such amplified the wackiness, but LCS still felt like a good balance.
a good sequel, and one every fan of III should play.
