Not really, but it's okay. However, the worst part is the humor, specifically the optional text when you click on everything. These were a highlight of the first game for me, but don't even bother in this one. It's either poorly recycled, plain or just shitty.

There is no mystery. The twist is that the player is shown events out of order to make it seem like there's a mystery, but this does not tie into the plot at all. There are several more contrivances to hide this fact from the player, like Mizuki's identical twin that dresses and acts exactly like here during events that take place years apart.

It's entirely linear with silly alternate endings for making wrong choices. Some reviews said the mystery is whatever and you're basically just playing it for more character interactions

I swore off Uchikoshi after ZTD, but I watched a trailer for the newest game a few weeks ago and the Zero Escape sound effects in it got me to buy all three games out of morbid curiosity.
I hope they aren't completely terrible.
