Square doesnt have the talent to remake any of their products. Hell they hardly have the talent to PORT any of their products considering how buggy they are. It takes all of their manpower to shit out a 3 part remake

They’ll milk FFT for all the copium they can while pretending IX can wait, even though people have been begging for a remake of that game for years. It’s not about stealing thunder, it’s that they can only manage one half-assed remaster at a time. Priorities at Square are like roulette spins at this point.

Every fucking time I go to search for something FF7 related I get results for the tranny demake and stillbirth slop instead.
They'll call it HD remaster II, outsourced to SEA devs who will use AI to upscale the pre-rendered backgrounds and use new AI technology to 10x the polygons of the original PS1 3D models.

they didn't sub-divide the polygons tho because the models low poly topology is already perfect in terms of deliberate artstyle.

if square "remade" it, they'd remove the "re" part and just make some low quality unfaithful pajeet asset farm dogshit.
they'd fuck up the environments, the colour pallets, the character designs, the writing, everything. just like they did with 7R.
