The matchmaking got insanely sweaty after the initial surge of players quit and then server regions merged which fucked up the latency for everyone if you didn't live near their headquarters. Both of those things exposed the flaws with hero shooters in general, and how the maps were either in favor of attack's side with how easy it is to snowball from spawn or on defense's side with low ground kill box chokepoints and long walks back for the attacking team.
