It may just be personal taste, but without spoiling too much, they basically double down on everything I found tiring/burnt out about the series, I.E. the Sirens. After 2 and Pre-Sequel, it felt time for a soft reboot, but they just kept dragging out the same "themes" and jokes and storyline. It's so tiresome, and the classes weren't even that good.
The game's biggest flaw is unironically having too much content. It's too big and 90% of the main quests feel like padding with a shitton of backtracking between areas. Meanwhile as you do that characters will, and I am not exaggerating, never shut the fuck up over the radio. God forbid if you even bother to do some side content. You'll spend 10 hours in one biome, constantly going back and forth as Friends-tier dialogue plays over the coms constantly, even to the point where you can travel from the start of a quest to the objective and the dialogue still hasn't ended or even gotten to the point, also known as the setup for the actual fucking quest you've already halfway if not entirely completed.
Again, I enjoyed the series for what it was up to that point, and I am even looking forward to Borderlands 4, and I wholeheartedly recommend you stay the fuck away from 3. It's just Gearbox wanking themselves off for 50 hours and not even introducing anything interesting to the gameplay, let alone rebalancing it.
