/v/ now has threads where they talk about and praise TORanic
>>715935652 (OP)tortanic had alot going for it
it was a fully made game from a different age.
a bad game from yesteryear is more finished then modern games
thats because a lot of people on /v/ now weren't alive when it happened.
another swtor thread today? okay.
Having never played it because I don't give a single fuck about Star Wars, surely it's better than it was at launch and with a lot more content. I'm sure the cutscenes are comedy gold, but is that important?
SWTOR is still irredeemable shit
>>715936381yeah its awful to play but the shared experience of having played is a good one.
>>715936302The launch content is still the best part and they watered it down by making it too easy.
>>715935652 (OP)>>715936381/v/ has always been a pro-TOR board. Being anti-TOR is reddit.
>>715935652 (OP)TORtanic was overblown by fags that still infest this place.
The MMO aspect of the game was hot garbage, true. The single player stories still range from decent to pretty good. Probably the last writing from Bioware that was at least tolerable.
Honestly I wish TOR did well because after it failed /v/ has been on a downward spiral praying every game fails and calling everyone a shill for liking anything
>>715935652 (OP)the ultimate redpill is that TORtanic never flopped
how does this make you feel
>>715935652 (OP)Videogames have gotten so much worse, that what was bad, is now good.
I'm not gonna play that slop but I bet Dragon Age 2 is probably a playable game compared to the average rpg in 2025.
This is exactly what happened with shit like COD, popular music and TV shows from the 2010s, etc.
The generational gap between zoomers and everyone else is so incredibly jarring that it makes me believe that they only started existing in 2016.
>>715935652 (OP)I argued it was a good game WHEN IT CAME OUT.
>>715939832DA2 was always playable it just wasn't DAO
/v/ has been singing the praises of halo and oblivion for ages, so this is hardly a surprise
