Playing System Shock 2 or Thief? I'm IN it and the game feels like another limb I flex effortlessly (played both multiple times of course)

I smoke weed because I have cancer and it's the only thing that helps besides prescription painkillers (actually addictive).

Video games are a blast on sativa. You just need to find the right game to be comfy with. Games like CoD or other garbage toxic games will be hell. Single player games are an absolute blast on weed.

Beyond Citadel, the sequel to The Citadel. It's fantastic if you can stomach anime gore. It has just a tad more intricate weapon handling than your avarage Doom-clone, which draws you in. I get pretty immersed checking corners, counting ammo, mags etc. I recommend the hardest setting with tactical mode for that reason, but playing arcade mode which let's you dodge bullets is fun too. I think that there is a large variance in how it affects different individuals compared to other mind-altering substances. For some it's great, for others it's not. I think it also depends on where you are at emotionally. Never had a good experience as a teenager when I was dealing with standard teen angst, but it's been much better as an adult having worked through most insecurities.

if i get high i don't enjoy the game the same way. i just get too slow and tired to want to keep up with it. i could spend 2 hours doing something that should only take 30 minutes. i'm juggling several checklists and notes on my build too and i don't wanna fuck those up.

i just end up decorating the megaton player home. just dropping down bits of unique items from throughout the playthrough. it's not much so far, i typically do this anyway. on my first playthrough i filled the room with the unique variant guns.

Being high is what got me into open world games. BotW was starting to get me into it, and then the ultimate combination was Death Stranding while high with a nice podcast mixed in. Shit was paradise.

Most open world games are decent while high, but they have to be the type where you can explore and get some enjoyment out of the mechanics of exploring.

But really any game where you can enjoy the act of playing is good. Doom Eternal for example, another solid game. Although while high it can be a little too much.

Driving games can be good but the crashes can be a little much depending.

I did do a sober february once and I found myself really irritable for the first work. I was constantly impatient and bored. It went away by the second week though.

Then I gave up weed for my girlfriend and I noticed that I have a lot of trouble being happy. At first I thought it was just because I missed weed but it's been 3 years. The stuff I should be overjoyed about just doesn't hit. Sure I can go to a superhero movie and sperg out but genuine happiness doesn't seem to click in my mind the same way. My doctor said I'm well outside the window for any withdrawal symptoms for weed. But I don't know what else it could be.

When you're not trying to sleep it just narrows how much your brain does, which makes things feel more enjoyable and all encompassing. So TV shows are easier to sit through, games are easier to zone out to, etc.

It's somewhat similar to staying up too late and getting kind of slap happy.

Unfortunately it just makes your brain do less but doesn't necessarily focus you. It can but it heavily depends on the person and isn't reliable.
