there will never ever be another game like this, the physics engine is unlike any other. the multiplayer is also fun as well. i really hope this game gets a more up to date port like rdr1 did, it REALLY needs it.

The story is a lot more mediocre than I remembered.
It has strong atmosphere at the start, but later on it turns into generic errand boy shit, with a couple of good beats (that are exceptions to the rule)

No it's the most forgotten GTA. SA is known for being the most ambitious, 3 started it all, Vice City for Aura and V is V.

these games have always sucked in general. they're a lot of style but not a whole lot of substance. in missions they're instruction following simulators; outside of missions they're directionless walking simulators in which you can do various menial activities that range from mind numbingly boring to just engaging enough to make you wish you were playing a better game.

basically I think it's time to put open world games out to pasture already.

The last GTA game that was interesting enough to finish it. I got V for free and only played it for a few hours, then I never felt like coming back. And VI looks like it's some american womans fantasy.

I liked it enough at the time but it is very hard to go back to now, especially after later games like GTA 5. The graphics look like shit, Niko moves like a 400 pound woman with cum in her eyes, the weapons are boring and the game is barebones in general. I'm not sure what they were thinking with some of the choices they made for GTA 4. No parachutes? Really? There was very little to do in this game which is the reason the swingset glitch was so popular, because it was one of the only sources of fun in the game. You couldn't even stand on cars or trains, because for some reason Niko would instantly go floppy and slide off

GTA4 is a steaming pile of shit. Name a single memorable mission apart from the bank heist. Story and characters are good on paper but the shitty mission ruin it. Even in the Alderney endgame the game has you doing "drive across the entire map and kill 10 mobsters in an alleyway" tier missions while San Andreas had you stealing fucking extraterrestrial tech from glowniggers while flying a jetpack.

And you know I am correct when even Rockstar realized the base game was fucking BORING and made The Ballad of Gay Tony which was an excellent DLC. Call me zoom zoom all you want, you fucking contrarian nerd faggots. I am 36 years old and actually played GTA4 on release on Xbox 360. Can you say the same? I absolutely hated it like most other people who were hyped for it and then massively disappointed. All the recent praise this shit game gets is from actual zoomers.
